On Monday (September 30), the "US Government Efficiency Committee" (DOGE) meme coin surged, soaring more than 33,000% from its lowest point in September, but the price subsequently fell back to $0.01989. Billionaire Elon Musk said that if former President Donald Trump is not elected in November, this will be his last campaign. Musk previously hinted that he would join Trump's proposed US government efficiency committee.

“Few Americans realize that if Trump is not elected, this will be the last election,” Musk wrote.

He warned that the Biden/Harris administration would fly “asylum seekers” directly to swing states like Pennsylvania, Ohio, Wisconsin, and Arizona so they could quickly gain citizenship, stressing that “this is a surefire way to win every election.”

He has also previously hinted that he would join Trump's proposed U.S. government efficiency commission.

Speaking about Tesla's layoffs, Trump told Musk: "You are the best layoffer. I need someone like Musk. I need someone with strength, courage and wisdom. I want to close the U.S. Department of Education and move education back to the states."

Trump has promised to appoint Musk, who currently oversees social media platform Twitter (now called X), carmaker Tesla and aerospace company SpaceX, to head a proposed "commission on the efficiency of the U.S. government" if he is re-elected in November.

On Monday, the DOGE meme coin, which shares the same name as the "U.S. Government Efficiency Commission," fluctuated at $0.01989 and hit a high of $0.028 over the weekend, surging more than 33,000% from its lowest point in September.

JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon is known for his skepticism about Bitcoin, but recently he expressed his approval of Musk's proposal to set up a U.S. government efficiency commission. In an interview at the India Investor Summit, Dimon praised the move and stressed the importance of strengthening U.S. accountability and operational capabilities.

He expressed strong support for measures to ensure that U.S. government funds are spent efficiently, consistent with the committee's goals of auditing federal spending and reducing wasteful spending.

He also highlighted the potential benefits of such a committee, saying the U.S. government needs to improve its capabilities and accountability. He said the U.S. government should be more rigorous in scrutinizing how taxpayer money is spent and what results are achieved, a view that aligns with Musk's vision for the committee.

“We do need to do that, and I’m sure we will do that in the United States. A lot of other countries need to do the same thing,” he added.
