The Open Network (TON) has surpassed the Ethereum (ETH) cryptocurrency blockchain in terms of the number of active users.

The gradual growth of TON, fueled by Telegram's user base of 900 million people, has led to the network surpassing the Ethereum blockchain in the number of active addresses per day.

Essentially, TON is betting on the development of Telegram. The ecosystem is still in its infancy, but its progress looks promising, wrote employees of the analytical company Delphi Digital.

The graph published by Delphi Digital shows that the number of active users of the Ethereum blockchain has been declining over the past month, while the opposite trend has been observed in the TON network. This is why the ETH blockchain lost to TON in the competition.

According to digital asset data provider Artemis, the rivalry between Ethereum and TON escalated last month, and on May 17, the TON network became the leader in the number of unique crypto wallets that completed at least one transaction per day for the first time. Ethereum took the palm for a short time, but in June the TON network began to dominate again and on the 3rd set a record for the number of active users per day, reaching 568,300.

Simultaneously with the popularity of TON, the rate of the Toncoin (TON) cryptocurrency issued on this network increased. Since the beginning of June, when the demand for blockchain increased noticeably, the cost of Toncoin has increased by 21% and on June 13 reached a historical high of $7.63.
