According to TechFlow, in response to the news that "Polkadot's treasury spent $87 million in half a year", Manta Network co-founder Victor Ji posted on the X platform, severely criticizing the Polkadot ecosystem and its team. He said that as the founder of the project with the largest TVL and market value in the former Polkadot ecosystem, he was disappointed with the Polkadot ecosystem and team, and said he was no longer willing to engage with it.

Victor Ji pointed out that the Polkadot ecosystem is highly toxic, has no real value to Web3, and does not focus on users or adoption. He also mentioned that the Polkadot team gives much more funding to European/American projects than Asian projects, and as Asian founders, they face discrimination in the ecosystem, a feeling that is common among all Asian founders.

victorji.eth further stated that the Polkadot team lacks capabilities and is not truly decentralized, has failed to effectively support developers, and the entire ecosystem is basically stagnant. They have shifted their focus to the Manta Pacific project and hope that more developers will choose more active ecosystems such as Solana, Ethereum, and Bitcoin.

According to previous news, the Polkadot treasury allocated US$87 million in the first half of the year, and the remaining funds can last for about 2 years.
