The Ambire Wallet extension launch is due in Q4 2024, and with it comes an essential question for our community: Should we reward accounts imported into the extension? With 195 million $WALLET tokens allocated for the extension incentives, the decision now lies with you.
This vote builds on the previously approved incentives, and as we prepare for the launch campaign, we’re focusing on how these rewards will be distributed. Current extension beta testers can potentially earn rewards for using t

Understanding Signer Keys: How Hybrid Account Abstraction Secures Your Assets
Security remains one of Web3's most critical challenges. As decentralized systems grow, so do the risks associated with managing and securing digital assets. Recent statistics reveal a staggering $1.1 billion lost to Web3 cyber incidents in just the first half of 2024. These incidents highlight vulnerabilities across various platforms, with phishing attacks and exploits targeting weak points in user security.
A significant security risk in most wallets stems from the poor user experience (UX) a

Ambire Governance Vote: Allocate $WALLET for the Extension Launch Incentives
The momentum continues to build as we approach the public launch of the Ambire Wallet browser extension! Our community has already decided to stop early user incentives from the v1 web and mobile wallets and focus them on the extension after its official launch, and now it’s time for the next step. With over 155 million $WALLET tokens already distributed, we have 145 million left from the initial allocation.
In the latest governance vote, we ask the community to decide on the incentive budget!
We are well into Q3 of 2024, so it’s time to share the latest from the Ambire kitchen! We practice the saying “No rest for the wicked,” so we’ve been busy once again preparing an amazing browser extension, attending events, etc. Read on to find out all the gossip!
Full speed ahead for hybrid account abstraction

It’s been a year and a half since one of the most famous Ethereum Request for Comment, ERC-4337, went live. You can say that it rekindled the account abstraction efforts, reminded the community of its benefits, and led to a myriad of improvements in terms of gas savings, user experience, etc. Smart Accounts (smart contract wallets) gained traction, and Externally Owned Account (EOA) wallets stepped up their game—the future was looking bright!
But has the adoption slowed down recently despite th
Hybrid Account Abstraction — Bridging EOAs and Smart Accounts Together
Crypto self-custody comes with significant challenges. Users face difficulties onboarding, setting up accounts, and managing crypto assets. There’s always the risk of losing funds if a seed phrase is lost. The prevalence of security threats and the fragmented blockchain landscape with multiple layers and gas management on different chains add to the complications.
Account abstraction made great strides to fix these issues and succeeded, but the wallet landscape remains fragmented. Users have to
Using transaction simulations to achieve Web2 UX in Web3 What if you could: 👉 Get an immediate response when you send crypto 👉 See how your wallet balance will change before signing a tx 👉 Have transaction batching enabled Ambire Wallet can make it all happen. What do we mean by 'simulation'? In essence, the simulation reflects the balance changes caused by transactions that have yet to be confirmed by the blockchain network. Using simulations to get immediate responses Let's say someone sends you funds. You ought to be able to see on your dashboard that you're about to receive them. This is coming to Ambire soon. Using simulations to show wallet balance changes When you do different transactions, you should be able to understand what you sign. In the Ambire extension, we display precisely what will happen before you sign a transaction, improving your security tremendously. Using simulations to enable transaction batching What if you were allowed to spend funds before they were in your wallet? This sounds mind-boggling, but it's possible! Let's give you an example. Let's say you want to do a swap ($ETH to USDT), use the swap's output (a portion of that USDT) to send funds to someone, and batch all of these actions into one transaction. You can't do this in a normal wallet, but Ambire Wallet enables you to do this today!
Our CEO, Ivo Georgiev, just spoke to Bitcoin .com News about the current state of crypto adoption, development, and regulation. Here's a short thread with key points from the conversation. A 2024 report reveals that 40% of adult Americans own crypto, up from 30% in 2023. Ivo thinks the main contributing factor to the rise in adoption is the launch of the spot ETFs, which have given $BTC and $ETH much-needed legitimacy in the eyes of the public. Is the current pace of infrastructure development sufficient to conveniently accommodate the industry’s adoption rate? According to Ivo, too much effort and funds are spent on infrastructure, and not enough resources are dedicated to attracting the next wave of users. Ivo is confident Ambire Wallet helps to accelerate crypto adoption by offering users the ability to:
👉 Create self-custodial crypto wallets using email and password only 👉 Recover the wallets should they forget their passwords 👉 Use any token to pay network fees on any EVM chain
Are regulators moving fast enough, or are they hampering innovation in the crypto industry? According to Ivo, most of the Western world is overregulating and lacks the knowledge needed to protect users effectively.
This year, the Ambire team had the chance to attend EthCC[⁷], probably the most significant event in Europe for the crypto industry, this year held in Brussels.
This year's conference was huge, with almost every notable company in the crypto industry present in Brussels. Though we did not sponsor the main EthCC event, we made our mark by participating in two notable side events on July 8th.

There’s a new governance vote up as part of our ongoing efforts to enhance user experience and streamline our ecosystem. This latest proposal seeks to introduce a new wrapper token, $stkWALLET, to replace our current staking token, $xWALLET. The objective is to make it easier for users to differentiate between the $WALLET token and its staked version by adopting the widely recognized "stk" prefix and simpler value accrual model than the current $xWALLET token.
