This P2P Trick Saved Me From Losses💰😭😂
The thing about p2p trades is that, you are prone to losses, scams and appeals. For appeals, you might be lucky if you follow it up properly. For other types of p2p risks, you might need to brush up on your knowledge as this is what will help you the most.🕐
Fast forward to today, binance has already removed the call button feature from p2p due to security reasons such as phishing scams or fake alerts. This is why giving out numbers is no longer compulsory, as you can always check your chats and bank for alerts.📩
So this #p2p merchant requested that;
I drop my phone number he pays me" 😮
I was not having it and told him immediately that,
" Lol
Pay, am online " 💥
It made no sense dropping my number, if I am online already and chatting with you. This merchant refused and pressured that;
" I must drop my number before he pays"😔
this time around, I thought of different things and possible outcomes;
1. Firstly, this order could take a longer time as countdown was still far. In a case of emergency, you can't wait this much.
2. Fake alerts or #scam could happen but then I still have the opportunity to decide when to release or confirm twice from my bank account.
3. I didn't want my previous experience to repeat itself and just wanted to play along.
And so, I decided to type any number on my mind;
"090xxxxxxxxxxx" 😭😂
I had already sent it and realised it was more than the numbers, but luckily the merchant did not take note.
After about 30seconds, I checked and saw the payment. Then I debited from my account and purchased electricity bill. This worked and it meant that, the payment was ok.
I then went ahead to let him know it was a fake number I sent him😂😭
And he told me to please release, which I did immediately. I only wanted him to know that, collecting numbers is not the ideal as during appeals, the Cs gives both parties 1hr to 2hrs to provide proofs. If not, the asset will be released in favor of the user that cooperated.
Meanwhile, I left him a good review too for "fast transaction" 💥

Norway threatens $100,000 daily fine on Facebook’s owners, Meta over data
Norway’s data protection agency said Monday it would ban Facebook and Instagram owner Meta from using the personal information of users for targeted advertising, threatening a $100,000 daily fine if it continues.
The business practices of US big tech firms are under close scrutiny across Europe over concerns about privacy, with huge fines handed out in recent years.
The Norwegian watchdog, Datatilsynet, said Meta uses information such as the location of users, the content they like and their posts for marketing purposes.
The Norwegian Data Protection Authority considers that the practice of Meta is illegal and is therefore imposing a temporary ban of behavioural advertising on Facebook and Instagram,” it said in a statement.
The ban will begin on August 4 and last three months to give Meta time to take corrective measures. The company will be fined one million kroner ($100,000) per day if it fails to comply.
