Shiba Inu (SHIB) had definitely been in the spotlight in recent days following the rally, sitting on the 10th position among the top cryptocurrencies. But, right now SHIB is facing a reversal in its market price which has lowered over 13% in the last 24 hours. As of press time it is trading at $0.00003138, as per CoinMarketCap data. Even so, SHIB is still up by 127.71% in the past week. The reversal might just be the calm before the storm for Shiba Inu.

What is Kusama’s post about?

Taking to his official X account, Shytoshi Kusama noted that he has been up in meetings and consultations with partners. The post noted, “ While they sleep… we’re up, in meetings, talking to the other side of the world for the upcoming announcement and release of an important Shib themed service/product.’

With Shiba Inu’s recent growth, Shytoshi Kusama has an opportunity to introduce new products. Kusama also revealed the launch of Shib Name Service (SNS) in collaboration with D3 this week.

As SHIB gains attention while aiming to surpass Dogecoin (DOGE), Kusama is hopeful that the introduction of additional products and services will further bolster the ongoing momentum of SHIB, potentially propelling it to reach even greater heights.

Lead dev’s hints for Shiba Inu

Shytoshi Kusama, Shiba Inu’s lead dev, might be throwing hints at something and this is being teased for about some time now. A cryptic tweet he sent in February sparked excitement within the ShibArmy. His message, “Confirming with the guys. Nice to meet you!” left many followers wondering what it meant at the time. 

Afterwards, Kusama again stirred social media discussions with remarks about Shiba Inu’s standing compared to Dogecoin. The fact that Kusama called Shiba Inu the “Dogecoin Killer” suggests that the project wants to challenge Dogecoin’s dominance in the meme coin niche.

As part of the latest update, Kusama (although not directly) said Shiba Inu could reach $100 billion in the long run. The hint comes after SHIB’s price hit $0.00004, with its market capitalization topping $13 billion.It would take a massive increase in value for SHIB to reach $100 billion.  

That’s an appreciation of about 553%, so it’d need significant market demand and investor confidence. Since Shiba Inu’s market value jumped, it displaced Avalanche (AVAX) as the 10th biggest cryptocurrency.
