Tether, the World's Largest, Announced its 1 Billion Dollar Investment Plan!

Tether (USDT), the world's largest stablecoin issuer, announced that they plan to invest $1 billion.

According to Bloomberg's report on Tuesday, June 11, CEO Paolo Ardoino said that Tether plans to make deals and investments worth $1 billion next year.

CEO Paolo Ardoino said in an interview that Tether's investment focus is on financial infrastructure, artificial intelligence and biotechnology. The company has also invested nearly $2 billion in these areas over the past two years.

Tether has so far invested most of its reserves in US Treasuries and other securities to generate billions in profits. However, according to the CEO, the company adopted a new strategy and decided to allocate some of its reserves to investments:

It's all about investing in technology that helps eliminate intermediaries with traditional finance. There is less trust in big tech companies like Google, Amazon and Microsoft.
