The increase in the activities of Ethereum whales in recent hours attracts attention. Here are some of the trades made by whales.
One of these whales is a wallet believed to belong to Jeffrey Wilcke, one of the Ethereum co-founders. Wilcke moved $37.38 million worth of ETH to Kraken at a price of $3,738, according to onchain data.
Since the beginning of 2024, the founder has transferred 24,300 ETH to Kraken, totaling $75.52 million. The average price of ETH that the whale transferred to cryptocurrency exchanges was $3,108.
At the time of this writing, Wilcke holds 126 thousand ETH worth $473 million.
On the other hand, a cryptocurrency whale with the short address 0x4451 is thought to have made a panic sale. The whale wallet sold 7,921 ETH at $3,754 at a point when the ETH price temporarily dropped sharply. The coins in question were staked.
The third and final whale moved 10,690 ETH worth a total of $40.69 million to the Binance and HashKey cryptocurrency exchanges. This whale acquired these ETH coins worth $38 million between March 26 and April 13, with an average purchase price of $3,551
