On Tuesday, as Powell hinted that the Fed had no plans to cut interest rates in the short term, the US dollar index continued to strengthen, and finally closed up 0.152% at 106.37, harvesting five consecutive positive daily lines. U.S. Treasury yields continued to rise. The 10-year U.S. Treasury yield once approached the 4.7% mark, hitting a five-month high, and finally closed at 4.661%. As the actual impact of Middle East tensions on oil supply has been limited so far, international crude oil has failed to rebound successfully. WTI crude oil fluctuated lower and finally closed down 0.46% at $85.21 per barrel; Brent crude oil closed down 0.37% at $90.02 per barrel.
The three major U.S. stock indexes rose and fell, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average closing up 0.17%, the S&P 500 down 0.21%, and the Nasdaq down 0.12%. Tesla (TSLA.O) fell 2.7%, and its market value fell below $500 billion. Nvidia (NVDA.O) rose 1.6%, and Apple (AAPL.O) fell 1.9%. The Nasdaq China Golden Dragon Index closed down 1.2%, Alibaba (BABA.N) fell 1.4%, and Bilibili (BILI.O) fell more than 2%.
