Amid growing tensions ahead of a possible default in the United States, #Circle , the issuer of the second-largest stablecoin by capitalization, abandoned all long-term US Treasury bonds.
“We do not want to take on additional risk from the potential inability of the US government to manage its debts,” said exchange CEO Jeremy Allaire.
According to Bloomberg, all US Treasury bonds currently in reserve #USDС will mature on May 31.
