I noticed that some people are showing impatience towards Thena, and even expressing fear and criticism because its price hasn't increased by $10 in a month. It's time to objectively analyze Thena's potential and predict the price it might reach in the future, while considering key factors such as circulating supply, weekly issuance, and possible market capitalization during alternative coin seasons.
Currently, Thena's circulating supply is 82,586,791.41 $THE. If we take into account the projected weekly issuance until the last week of April 2025, the total circulating supply will reach approximately 101.59 million $THE. However, this number is overestimated for two main reasons:
1) Decrease in weekly issuance: The weekly issuance continues to decline by 1%.
2) Locked tokens: 30% of the issued tokens are locked as they are allocated to veTHE holders (users who lock their $THE for a determined period).
For simplicity, this overestimated number will be used to calculate Thena's potential future price.
It is also worth noting that 63% of the total $THE supply is locked for 1.75 years, which means these tokens will be released around the third quarter of 2026.
Based on this data and on-chain analysis, future circulating supply and expected weekly issuance can be calculated to estimate Thena's potential price. This price will largely depend on the market capitalization Thena can achieve under favorable market conditions, especially during alternative coin seasons.
Even without planned issuance, the time to reach the target price may be sooner than expected, until 30/04/2025.
