According to TechFlow, Reuters reported that industry executives and other participants told Reuters that the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission may approve an exchange-traded fund (ETF) linked to the spot price of Ethereum on July 4, and negotiations between asset management companies and regulators have entered the final stage.

Eight asset managers are seeking SEC approval for the funds, including BlackRock, VanEck, Franklin Templeton and Grayscale Investments.

The SEC has approved rule changes for the New York Stock Exchange, Nasdaq and CBOE to list and regulate these new products.
