According to PANews, Amber Japan Co., Ltd., operator of the “WhaleFin” cryptocurrency trading service, is set to change its company name to S.BLOX Co., Ltd. on July 1, 2024. The company was acquired by Singaporean market maker Amber Group in February 2022, and subsequently by Quetta Web Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sony Group, in August 2023.
'WhaleFin' has plans for future updates, which include the following improvements: 1. Redesigned UI screen; 2. Launching new applications. 3. Expanded currencies and supported features.
In previous news, Sony Group has reportedly acquired Amber Japan, a Japanese cryptocurrency trading platform under Amber Group.
