BlackRock, a leading issuer of Bitcoin and Ethereum exchange-traded funds (ETFs), has dismissed rumors that it will soon issue a similar ETF product for the currently booming Solana. Two of the company's top executives have confirmed that the asset manager has no such plans in the near future. Samara Cohen, BlackRock's CIO of ETFs and Index Investments, said on Bloomberg TV that her company would not launch such a product anytime soon. He said interest from clients and 'investability' were key factors. “Not anytime soon. We really look at investment capabilities to see what meets the criteria, meets the standards, to be made into an ETF product. Russia will reportedly legalize Cryptocurrencies for settlement of international transactions if the new bill that has been drafted is passed. Anatoly Aksakov, head of the Duma's financial markets committee, told Bloomberg that under the new law, cryptocurrencies will be subject to the same regulations as foreign currencies such as the US dollar in Russia. The new bill will come into effect on September 1 if approved by President Vladimir Putin and senators in the State Duma.
