Fed'in faiz indirimi tahminleri Cuma günü açıklanan istihdam verilerinin ardından önemli ölçüde değişti. Yumuşak inişe hazırlanan Fed'in şimdi sert inişe geçmek zorunda kalacağı söyleniyor.
Wall Street Journal'a göre, Cuma günü açıklanan ve piyasaları sarsan istihdam verileri, Washington'daki ekonomik politikayı yönlendirenlerin başlıca endişesiydi ve ABD ekonomisi için senaryo tersine dönüyor. Bu yıl yumuşak bir inişe hazırlanan Fed yetkililerinin son veriler ışığında sert inişe geçmek zorunda kalabileceği belirtiliyor.
Yatırımcılar Fed'in geç kalma ihtimalinden endişe ediyor. Bunun bir etkisi de borsalarda düşüşlerle görüldü. Öte yandan Fed'in faiz oranını ne zaman düşürmeye başlayacağı yerine Eylül ayında ne büyüklükte bir indirim yapılacağı tartışılmaya başlandı.
Banka analistleri de faiz oranı indirimi tahminlerini revize etti. Citigroup ve JPMorgan, Fed'in Eylül ayında 50 baz puan, Kasım ayında 50 baz puan ve Aralık ayında 25 baz puan faiz indirimi yapmasını ve yıl sonundan önce faizi toplamda 125 baz puan düşürmesini bekliyor.
Faiz oranı kararı gelecek ay 18 Eylül'de açıklanacak. Bu toplantıdan önce, Ağustos ayına ait istihdam verileri 6 Eylül'de, enflasyon verileri ise 11 Eylül'de yayınlanacak.
