NFT marketplace #OpenSea , after facing challenges in the crypto market, announced layoffs, marking its second round of job cuts.

The company, which operates like eBay and Etsy, laid off 20% of its staff in July 2022 due to the crypto winter. The recent #layoffs are part of OpenSea's transition to OpenSea 2.0, impacting around 50% of employees, including middle managers.

Departing employees will receive four-month severance, accelerated equity vesting, and six months of healthcare and mental health support.

OpenSea's decision to retire its operator filter faced community backlash. The company is now working on OpenSea 2.0 and has 12 open job positions listed on #LinkedIn .
