6 threats to Bitcoin that no one foresaw but must face
1. International coalition attack
Bitcoin is a decentralized network with thousands of nodes and miners spread across the world, responsible for securing the network and maintaining the immutability of the public ledger.
2. Internet shutdown
Without the Internet there would be no mining, no blockchain, and no transactions, or at least these would be kept to a minimum.
3. Nuclear holocaust
Rats and cockroaches don't know how to mine blocks, so...
There are bigger things to worry about.
4. Quantum computers
If this threat is secretly realized by an entity that has no countermeasures, then it will be a real threat.
5. Politicians
The biggest selling point of Bitcoin is: "Unprintable Money"
Government mismanagement, creating artificially high liquidity out of thin air to cover deficits, wars, and buy votes, resulting in economic mismanagement.
6. Miner collusion
If miners secretly cooperate to launch a 51% attack on the network, there may be serious consequences.
