Dubbed the Dragon Fruit upgrade, or ForkID5, this marks a significant milestone for Polygon zkEVM since its launch in mainnet beta earlier this year. The upgrade was successfully implemented on September 20th, 7:30 a.m. UTC.In an encouraging tweet, Polygon confirmed the successful completion of the Dragon Fruit Upgrade, which encompasses a wide array of network improvements. These enhancements include the integration of the latest Ethereum opcode, PUSH0. Additionally, the upgrade introduces two new features: PUSH0, the latest EVM opcode from the Shanghai hard fork, and RLP parsing, a fix for a noncritical bug related to transaction parsing.With the inclusion of the PUSH0 opcode, Polygon joins the list of EVM networks supporting this functionality, further aligning with the Ethereum blockchain.
