Dogecoin soared to new highs after Tesla and SpaceX chief executive Elon Musk, also known as the ‘Dogefather,’ confirmed in a press conference that his electric vehicle manufacturing company will enable payments in Dogecoin (DOGE) in the near future.

According to the data from CoinMarketCap, as of 12:53 a.m. ET Thursday, DOGE is up 6.6% in the past hours, followed by a 20% surge in the past seven days. The price of the memecoin stands at $0.1781, with a 20.46% surge in trading volume. However, Dogecoin is still 75.24% away from its all-time high of $0.7376 witnessed on May 8, 2021.

Musk spoke at the ‘We Are Giga’ event in Texas and supported Dogecoin in front of the attendees. He shouted “Dogecoin to the Moon” in front of a cheering crowd. “When can you buy a Tesla with Dogecoin?” an attendee asked the billionaire.

“At some point, I think we should enable that.” Musk replied while adding:

A lot of people don’t know why I support Dogecoin. While I was walking around the factory in Tesla, a lot of regular guys said ‘Hey can you support DOGE’. Even at SpaceX, people working at factories, regular guys said ‘Please support DOGE
The billionaire also noted that a lot of billionaires support Bitcoin (BTC), but he will continue to support Dogecoin because “DOGE is people’s crypto.”

Get ready for bitcoin possible crash!

We have reached the old ATH too early in the cycle and have been stuck in a consolidation for almost 6 months since then. This can end with a crash now. A final shakeout before the next wave up.

The situation is similar to 2019 - early 2020. Too high too early, then a long boring consolidation period, and finally a crash (triggered by COVID). The difference was that it happened in an earlier phase of the cycle.

October is statistically a bullish or neutral month in a bull run, so it's likely to happen either in September or November.

My target is 40K but a wick can be expected to reach as low as the 30K area. It's likely that we'll get a fast recovery so it's important to have a plan and act decisively.

I am still bullish on $BTC but I am really worried about the big spike to the downside. For me the most possible scenario is retest at 40-45k if the cycle is in the same shape as the previous one in which we had 30k correction. I don’t want to be negative or saying it will happen on 100% because no one can. The problem is that the last time we had such a big spike and it was bullish we went up but now the spike is pointing down and the last candles on the monthly time frame are bearish. Let’s see what happens!

Earlier on the day, a RIA Novosti correspondent reported that two cars with flashing lights left the National Anti-Fraud Bureau in the suburbs of Paris at high speed, where Telegram CEO Durov was supposed to be held.
