My Journey in Crypto: Part 1 Back in the summer of 2017, one of my former workers from my offline business visited my house and mentioned he had information that bitcoin would rise to $25,000 by the end of the year. He claimed his brother and some other guys paid to obtain this insight. He offered to invest in his newly created fund or simply buy some BTC and take it as friendly advice. The reason I didnā€™t take this seriously was that the guy had been short on money for a long time, experiencing hard times and struggling to stay in Asia where he came to start his new life. So, I thought he was just looking for a way to make some quick money. That was the first time I underestimated someone close to me. Of course, it was a coincidence that BTC went up to $27,000 in December 2017, and I donā€™t believe anyone could have known for sure that this would happen. Nevertheless, it was a strange feeling mixed with FOMO. Perhaps, later on, I will write more about that guy, but that year proved to be life-changing for him. So, at this point, I started to delve deeper and learn more about crypto, blockchain, and altcoins. What year did you enter the world of crypto? #StartInvestingInCrypto

My Journey in Crypto: Part 3 To cut a long story short, over the next few months, I learned a hard lesson about margin tradingā€”it can be brutal and wipe out your funds. I ended up losing up to $20k, and it took me over a year to recover $8k of that. I started off well with trading, using small margins, but it eventually turned into gambling. One morning, after being glued to my computer for over 24 hours, I realized I had lost nearly $20k. Some of that money wasn't even mine, so I had to figure out how to repay it. At that point, I found myself deeply depressed and decided to swear off crypto entirely. All I had left was $2k worth of BNB, which I had bought at $12, so I decided to forget about it for a while. About a year later, I sold my BNB and managed to get back around $8k. You can imagine how I felt when I saw BNB trading at $500-$600 per token a year or two later. Despite missing out on that opportunity, it taught me my first smart strategy: sometimes, just holding onto your tokens (HODLing) is the best approach, especially when you lack a clear plan and sufficient knowledge. Of course, I'm referring to tier 1 tokens like BTC, ETH, and BNB. Even SOL, which hit rock bottom, eventually recovered and remains one of the leading ecosystems today. This was around the end of 2019, I believe. Over the next two years, I stayed away from crypto, missing out on the bull market, but I returned in 2022 with a solid plan. We decided to assemble a team and delve into farming airdrops, starting with Play-to-Earn (P2E) games like Mini Royal and Sandbox. To be continued soon...

My Journey in Crypto: Part 2. So I've already seen how people get rich in a short term and continued to follow what's happening in crypto. Of course, I didn't understand anything about altcoins, didn't know any projects/names, etc. At that time, I owned a car rental company and one day got a request from some guy contacting me on Facebook. He wanted to rent an SUV, which was the most expensive one in my fleet. He didnā€™t try to get any bargain and just confirmed he wants to rent for the long term and pay monthly at the highest rate. That guy became my friend in the future and we are still in close contact. Later, I would know they were involved in bounty programs farming Ethereum in 2017 and they organized some Ponzi scheme getting Ethereum. I can't remember exactly what that was. So the guy started with 0 deposit in spring of 2017 and ended with over 600k by the end of the year being a worker. All that info I got much later. But how I got my first cryptoā€¦ He was paying me monthly rental price and once he asked if I wanted to get payment in crypto? I said I'm okay to get one payment in crypto if he explains to me how to do that. So he told me to install Electrum desktop wallet, explained to me how to check BTC rate, and sent payment to me with BTC, yes, with BTC, not USDC or USDT. At that time, BTC was the most trustworthy currency. So I got around 0.2 BTC and was checking its rate almost every day šŸ˜ƒ That was spring of 2018 and I got around 15-20% up just in a few months. That was the moment I found out what is margin trading and registered my account at Bitmex šŸ˜· That was a real start! To be continuedā€¦
