Personally, I believe that for small capital to make big money, futures trading is the only way, in other words, contracts; apart from that, there are no other methods. For spot trading, small capital can still seek stable profits for living expenses. Some people say that one can invest in the primary market and perhaps hit a hundred-fold or thousand-fold return, but I personally think that is just gambling on luck. In the entire financial market, those who make big money with small capital are in futures trading, which is also the contracts in the crypto space. So, what kind of people can achieve this? I believe those who can hold on have the chance to do so, but of course, the risks are very high. For example, if you short Ethereum at 2850 with 1000u margin at 100x leverage and hold on, every time the market price drops by 28.5, your margin doubles. Ask yourself, how long can you hold on? Is it 5 times, 10 times, or how long? If you hold on to 2287, that’s a 20-fold return, which is 20,000u. If you can hold on until this downturn ends, for example, Ethereum drops to 1800, then that’s a 37-fold return, which is 37,000u. Can you hold on? Of course, such opportunities are not available every day, but if you remain in the market, you will have the chance to encounter such trends. However, when such trends occur, how many people can actually hold on? Human nature fears loss; what is loss? It is what you once had but maybe does not belong to you anymore. So, let me ask, why can’t you hold on when you are in profit, but can endure losses? It’s still the same saying: fear of loss, because of what you once had. I’m sure some brothers will ask me if I can hold on. My answer is that I can take the profits I see. Of course, there are methods for this; without methods, I couldn't hold on either, because that’s human nature. For example, if I see that Ethereum will drop to 1800 and it’s a one-sided bearish market, I will use a trailing stop loss and not set a take profit. This means I will use profits to try to gain more profits. I believe everyone can hold on like this because even if you stop-loss and exit, you are still making a profit. If the market moves as we anticipated, then we can hold on until the end. Of course, this method also has drawbacks. If the market does not move as we anticipated, it will reverse many profits. There are many other methods that can help us overcome human nature, which is a mindset issue. I won’t go into details about that here. To summarize, as long as you can maintain the spirit of holding on to your positions and turn it into profits, you have the chance to make big money.
