History: A bug that made a millionaire.
In 2020, a Reddit user with the nickname GuyWithBadLuck accidentally discovered a bug in a decentralized exchange (DEX), which led him to an incredible fortune. He was trying to make a small transaction with tokens worth $50, but instead of the expected transaction, the system credited him tokens worth $5 million.
At first, the user thought it was a display error. But when he checked his wallet through independent blockchain scanners, the amount turned out to be real. In panic, he posted in the forum that he didn't know what to do. Some advised him to immediately transfer the funds to a safe place, while others suggested returning the money to the platform.
The exchange quickly noticed the error and contacted him asking him to return the funds. However, since transactions on the blockchain are irreversible, GuyWithBadLuck found himself at the center of a moral dilemma: keep the money or return it.
