When looking to buy altcoins, we are confused in old vs new #alt coins. How to choose old coins vs how to choose new coins to hold for the upcoming cycle?Do not get into hype you see on X (formerly twitter). Do not take others views for your own. Approach with logic and math.Here is how I choose what I am going to buy for the upcoming cycle:Look for #alt vs #BTC chart, whether the chart has bottomed or not. For example in the last cycle only major coins which made a bottom pattern on their #BTC pairs were #ada and #ETH both went on to make new all time highs on USD pairs as well.Whereas rest of the coins like $LTC #DASH #NEO never bottomed on their btc pairs. So they performed poorly on their USD pairs as well.The major reasons for this that old coins have too many bag holders who wants to exit as soon as they get their chance and thus keep the price low.New coins do not have bag holders for continuous sell pressure to keep their price suppressed but there is a catch and that is a vicious one the token unlcok schedule.For new coins always check their token schedule which anyone can easily find using google search. Look at how long you want to hold the token and what will be the supply unlock during that period. If aupply will be released/dumped too soon and too fast it will kill the price and bring loss to the holders. For example the token unlock of$OP and $ARB are very different. Both are good Layer2 projects but OP emissions are good for it's price action in near future whereas #arb emissions will hold back it's price growth.My preference would be #OP due to simple mathematics.Follow for such a great and free educational content.
