*Brazil’s Securities and Exchange Commission (CVM) has approved the country’s first spot exchange-traded fund (ETF) linked to XRP, the first of its kind globally.
*Ripple has hit a significant milestone as it integrates XRP for international payments with US banks.
*Many banks are choosing RippleNet to make international payments more accessible and cheaper.
Cuallix was one of the early adopters of xRapid, a Ripple tool that used XRP to make cheaper international payments.
The National Bank of Abu Dhabi is the first Middle Eastern bank to use Ripple for international transfers.
American Express, has partnered with RippleNet to make it easier for businesses to send money across borders.
*J.P. Morgan Chaseis accepting XRP for both credit card and mortgage payments. This is part of their bigger plan to use blockchain technology and digital money in their services.
*India and the UAE have just made history by completing a crude oil deal that skipped the US dollar entirely, opting for XRP instead.
India paid for oil from the UAE using their local currencies, but the transaction was run through the XRP Ledger System. This system reportedly even rewards users with CryptoTradingFund (CTF) tokens as cashback.
Brad Garlinghouse, Ripple’s CEO, said:
“The UAE is one of the most advanced jurisdictions globally when it comes to offering regulatory clarity for licensed firms to offer virtual asset services.”
