Telegram and VK founder chief Pavel Durov was arrested at a French airport on Saturday evening.
He may be produced in court on Sunday, reports said.
There are various charges against him including drug trafficking, promoting terrorism, cyber bullying, money laundering.
Concerned officials said that he was suspected mainly because he failed to prevent criminal activities #tonecoin # Telegram.
It should be noted that Telegram was banned in Russia in 2018 due to its previous refusal to provide user data to the Russian government and to act as requested by the government, which was later lifted in 2021.
