Somnium Space is a metaverse with its own virtual world and currency, built on the blockchain. Users of the project can create avatars (interestingly, their owners managed to sell them for an amount exceeding $500,000 - so there is plenty of space for ordinary creators), and in Somnium Space you can buy virtual land and build any objects on it. In the near future, holograms should help simplify the process of creating new items; items are planned to be scanned using a webcam. A similar technology is used in the Netvrk project. Anyone can immerse themselves in the metaverse using a VR headset, browser or smartphone.
