Whenever I ask or see some one write about how RLUSD will benefit $XRP , its said that XRP is burned with every RLUSD transaction and that will decrease the supply of XRP which will increase its value. But lets do a little math and correct me if im wrong. Im going to assume the best case scenario where Ripple absorbs all of swifts transactions.
Amount of XRP burned per transaction: 0.000001 XRP
Total daily swift transactions: 45.2 million per day
Math: 0.000001 x 45.2M x 365 day = 16,498 XRP burned per year
16,498 / 100 Billion total XRP supply = 0.00016498% of supply burned yearly
Meaning itll take 6,000 years to burn 1% of total supply
Add on top of that Ripple releasing 1B XRP monthly until the 100B are done, which means it wont be for another 3.5 years before supply is done and this minuscule burn rate starts to actually have an effect.
Am I missing anything here? Would like to hear from someone who understands the XRP ledger on a technical level
