I want to share a little story full of hope and excitement about how, with a bit of ingenuity and patience, cryptocurrencies can become a good support for the future.
A year ago, in the midst of the Christmas preparations, I decided to save part of my bonus in a couple of cryptocurrencies that caught my attention. It wasn't a hasty decision: I read, informed myself, and used simple strategies like buying when the market was calm and not letting myself be carried away by haste.
Little by little, and with a lot of patience, I observed how that savings grew. I never saw it as a way to "get rich overnight," but as a medium-term investment. And the moment came when, after seeing that small initial amount triple, I decided it was time to treat myself: this year I was able to buy a supercomputer with which I will fulfill some of my most cherished projects and dreams.
The best part of this story is not just the computer itself, but the satisfaction of seeing that, with discipline and financial education, cryptocurrencies can become an interesting savings tool. This Christmas, I want to invite you to keep that curiosity and excitement for learning, to remember not to invest more than you can afford to lose, and, above all, to have faith in what you are passionate about.
Merry Christmas, and may your future be filled with wisdom, perseverance, and great achievements!
"HODL: The Drunk Who Wrote the Golden Strategy in Bitcoin"
The word “HODL” in the world of Bitcoin was born from a famous “typo” that became a meme and then an authentic motto of the crypto community. The story dates back to December 2013, on the Bitcointalk forum, a space where people passionately debated Bitcoin.
The original post A user named “GameKyuubi” wrote a thread titled “I AM HODLING” instead of “I AM HOLDING” (which in English would mean “I am holding” or “I am not selling”). In his post, he confessed that he had had a few too many drinks (“I’m drunk”), and that even with the price of Bitcoin wobbling, he was not considering selling his coins. Amid somewhat confusing opinions and his obvious state of intoxication, that typing error slipped in: “HODLING” instead of “HOLDING.”
