Main Rules

As stated above, the primary mission of the event is to test the throughput and stability of Prom. The Stress Test will be held in cooperation with our fellow project V60, the first DEX operating on Prom. The trading on V60 will start in the nearest future, so track Prom and V60 announcements across socials to not miss out the launch of the DEX.

In order to participate, you’ll need to complete 2 or more trades on V60 in the set 30-minute time bracket. If you successfully complete the task, you get a “Stress Tester” achievement on Prom’s testnet that follows the same logic as older ones and acts as a multiplier of the testnet points. The “Stress Tester” achievement will be visible on the dashboard once we move closer to the Stress Test launch.

How do you track the start of the Stress Test Event?

You will be able to track the start of the stress test through the main page of the DEX. You will see an active 24-hour countdown once we move closer to the test launch. Once the stress test goes live, you will have 30 minutes to participate and trade.

We will also update you on the start of the Stress Test through the socials, so make sure you stay tuned.

We are happy to announce that we’re almost ready to move to the second stage of the testnet that will be shortly followed with a mainnet launch.

In this article you will learn all the key points regarding the updates we’re preparing, the inclusion of V1 testnet points into the updated version, and reward distribution.

Key Details & FAQ

The V2 of the Testnet will be launched on September 9th, 10:00 UTC and you can access the testnet dashboard using the same link as previously using your regular testnet wallet. The V2 will have the same logic and mechanics as V1: you will be able to proceed with the list of tasks and earn achievements for the overall point boost.

However, for everyone to have a smooth onboarding experience and quickly get a grip of all the updates, let’s go through the list of possible questions you might have regarding the Testnet V2.

Q: How Do I Connect to Testnet V2?

A: Make sure you connect to Prom Testnet V2 by using “Add to Metamask” button on prom.io interface or adding the chain manually with the following network information:

Please note that the network information for V2 has changed since V1. For the correct testnet participation make sure you re-connect to Prom Network by using the details above.

Q: I’ve been a testnet participant for a long time and want to check if my progress from V1 is saved. Do I need to take any additional steps?

A: No, you don’t need to take any additional steps to restore your progress. Connect to the network and access the dashboard with the previously used address. Your testnet points will be automatically visible on the dashboard. The points you get during the V2 stage will be included into your individual overall point count and both influence your total campaign reward.

Q: What about achievements: do I need to go through them once again or is my multiplier saved from V1?

A: Same as with overall point count, your achievements from V1 are saved and you don’t need to restore your multiplier manually. Testnet V2 will include some new achievements to get though, so we welcome all participants to increase their multipliers by completing new tasks (we will highlight them further in the article).

Q: What about testnet balances?

A: Testnet balances from V1 are, unfortunately, won’t be restored. However, you can claim testnet PROM in the same manner as during V1 by using Prom Testnet Faucet. The testnet points for claiming PROM through faucet are saved.

Q: How do I access the Testnet Explorer for tracking V2 transactions and overall progress?

A: The link for accessing Explorer has not changed, you can enter testnet.promscan.io to get detailed information.

Q: Are there any changes in products related to the testnet: Prom Forge, Marketplace, Prom Button Game?

A: You can access all the related products by using the same links as before. Good news, you can start afresh with the Prom Button Game: with the launch of V2 you start with 10 attempts to earn PROM and hit the last button to get a grand prize of 100 PROM.

Q: Are there any changes to the DAO Validator Campaign due to the re-launch of the testnet?

A: The Validator campaign is ongoing and hasn’t changed: we continue to review your content entries and all of the leaderboard positions are maintained. Same with the number of testnet achievements you get from completing social tasks on Zealy: they are restored on testnet V2 and you don’t need to complete them all over again.

Achievements and Missions Updates

Main twist: we’re breaking the borders of the testnet and adding new ways of interacting with our network.

Testnet V2 will include 5 completely new achievements related to 2 new products built on Prom and an updated task for trading volume. As usual, achievements will work as multipliers.

If you’re following our announcements, you are already familiar with V60, the first DEX on Prom, and the first new product you will explore via testnet. Quick recap: V60 is a fully decentralized AMM-powered DEX leveraging capabilities of Prom L2 solutions to ensure the lightning speed and lower transaction costs. Participants will be welcome to test out the trading features of the platform and get additional achievement for activity.

Second product is a completely new one, yet to be fully revealed. Just to give you a hint for now, you will be able to explore Rektme, the first platform for launching and exploring memecoins on Prom with multiple options for token customization and keeping your meme path transparent, and user-friendly. Your Rektme journey will also be diversified with testing out the platform’s mini app on Telegram and getting special REKT points. More products = more fun.

Reward Distribution

One of the most asked questions among our testnet participants: the reward distribution for both Delegate Campaign and Validator Campaign will start alongside with the Governance Portal launch, approximately two weeks after the mainnet launch. A quick recap: the Governance Portal will gear up the Prom DAO functioning, uniting Delegates and Validators in a decentralized decision making.
