Decentralized storage is one of the key pillars of DePIN infrastructure – various applications of AI, including vertical LLMs and AI generated content all require storage scaling in tandem with AI compute. This is why we’re glad to invite @CrustNetwork into the Phoenix AI Ecosystem as the first #DePIN storage-focused partner.
Crust Network is a cross-chain storage solution that supports various IPFS, PoS, and PoW protocols. The goal of the partnership will be twofold:
1) Providing Crust access to idle compute resources in the Phoenix SkyNet AI Node Network and also SkyNet Elastic Compute for its users and ecosystem. This will expand the Crust’s DePIN resources to AI compute nodes in addition to storage nodes.
2) Crust will be integrated into SkyNet as an alternative storage to Filecoin for AI models, training datasets, and PhoenixLLM vector search databases.
Applications of Phoenix’s decentralized AI infrastructure extend well beyond #Web3 into various vertical industries – with over 900 million users, China Mobile’s digital content arm Migu is poised to leverage Phoenix’s generative AI platform and elastic compute at scale.
Text2Motion V2 Beta and GenPrompt (AI video prompt generator), and CogVideo are now online on Phoenix GenAI.
Phoenix’s generative AI platform is developing at a breakneck pace and more users and ecosystem partners are finding ways to integrate AI workflows creatively by leveraging a combination of PhoenixLLM, Text-to-Image, Text-to-Motion, Img2Motion, and AI-to-3D simultaneously. Our open API’s for GenAI make use cases more versatile, enabling seamless integration with gaming, content, and metaverse apps.
The next step appears to be a decentralized, integrated GenAI mega platform/suite. How would that work – we would be glad share with you next week!
The long awaited next-gen upgrade of Phoenix GenAI Text2Motion to Version 2.0 Beta will be available later this week on SkyNet. Text2Motion V2 Beta is one step closer to closing the gap between models fine-tuned and deployed on decentralized AI compute infrastructure and traditional big tech generative AI video models such as Sora.
Below is a sample of video output of Text2Motion V2 Beta running on a high performance sub-cluster of SkyNet, which includes Nvidia A100 and A10 GPUs across nodes in Asia and North America. Text2Motion V2 Beta supports HD video output of up to 10s in length and will include an AI prompt optimizer powered by PhoenixLLM.
This will be a big week for Phoenix GenAI – stay tuned.

SkyNet AI Compute Mining is now live and can be easily accessed and managed via SkyNet Control Panel. Now PhoenixNode operators will be able to provide AI compute resources to certain applications in the Phoenix AI Ecosystem, Phoenix native apps (AlphaNet, PhoenixLLM, GenAI), and AI models and tasks run on SkyNet.
Phoenix’s SkyNet AI Elastic Compute Layer now serves as the gateway for deploying and scaling AI compute, backbone for Phoenix ecosystem native AI apps, and the DePIN compute resource management hub for AI node operators.
Phoenix’s unique Elastic Compute AI network model limits the maximum number of nodes to the usage demand and application workload of the platform, which enables minimal waste of AI compute. Additionally, Phoenix employs an efficient ad-hoc microtask-based system instead of a traditional GPU or resource-time rental model.
PhoenixNodes have started the shipping process – those who have pre-ordered in Presale Wave 1 & 2 will expect to receive their orders in October to November. For operators who ordered and have not received their nodes, the Phoenix DAO (at the courtesy of DAO organization member Tensor) has leased at no charge placeholder nodes (equipped with Nvidia A10 GPUs) that will mine equivalent rewards to their PhoenixNodes, effective immediately, until PhoenixNodes ordered are received. Placeholder nodes can also be viewed and managed via SkyNet Control Panel.
These placeholder nodes are hosted via the “colocation/managed” model, an alternative to self-hosted. This is also equivalent to giving certain node operators a trial of the colocation model vs self-hosting on-premise in a residential or office network.
More details via announcement channels & email notification (for node operators) to follow shortly.
