BOB operates as a blockchain on top of a blockchain, where participants must create canisters (smart contracts) on ICP to solve a puzzle. The first canister to solve it creates a block and earns a reward (BOB tokens).
Currently, there are 6.7k mining nodes, and under this system, each node has a 3% chance of minting a block each day.
