FTX Bankruptcy Latest Summary: Important Notices 1. Currently, there are approximately 392,000 users who have not completed the KYC verification process, involving a total amount of approximately $2.5 billion. Among them:
- Claims over $50,000 amount to approximately $1.9 billion
- Claims under $50,000 amount to approximately $655 million
Please ensure to complete the verification before June 1, or you will permanently lose your eligibility for claims.
2. Progress on the Bahamas Claims Process
- Users who have completed KYC verification can now enter the 'Payment Instruction Submission' phase
- Users who have not completed verification are advised to check the email notifications sent by PWC in a timely manner
- The claims settlement process is expected to officially start in July
3. Compensation Arrangement for Type 7A Users
Type 7A users with claims less than $50,000, who have completed the account unlocking process, can participate in the compensation distribution on May 30 (with exceptions for users in specific regions).
4. Special Note for Users in Mainland China
- The compensation on May 30 does not include users from mainland China
- The next round of compensation is expected to start as early as the end of 2025
- The complete compensation process is expected to take 5 years to complete
5. FTT Compensation Explanation
Currently, FTT is not included in the compensation scope. Although creditors are attempting to seek compensation through legal means, there have not yet been any successful cases.
