#TrumpSaysUSWouldHelpIranDestroyEnrichedUranium ☢️ Trump Proposes to Annihilate Iran's Uranium — But There's a Detail That Changes Everything Donald Trump made a statement that shook the world. In an interview on NBC's Meet the Press, Trump stated that the U.S. will work with Iran to extract and destroy its highly enriched uranium — if a deal can be struck to end the three-month war between the two countries. The president's words were straightforward: "If we make a deal and become friends now, we’ll all go together. It will be our equipment. We will extract it and destroy it, whether on-site or elsewhere." The proposal sounds like a diplomatic solution — until you read the second part of the sentence. Trump also made it clear that, in the absence of an agreement, the U.S. would militarily degrade Iran to the point where American forces could safely collect the material one way or another. In other words: whether or not there’s a deal, Washington wants that uranium out of Tehran's hands. The context makes the situation even more delicate. Iran currently has around 440 kilograms of uranium enriched to 60% — just a step away from weapons-grade — and Trump had even considered sending ground troops to recover the buried stockpile early in the war but backed off due to the associated risks. Kazakhstan offered to host the Iranian uranium stockpile if the U.S. and Iran reach an agreement, in an initiative mediated by the head of the International Atomic Energy Agency. With the Strait of Hormuz still blocked, oil prices on the rise, and the entire world hanging on Trump’s every word, the coming weeks could determine not only the future of the Middle East — but the global geopolitical balance. Diplomacy has never been as literal as "destroy or be destroyed." 🌍
