The Bitcoin Year-over-Year (YoY) price chart is one of the clearest indicators of where we are in the market cycle.
It shows how much BTC has changed in price compared to the same date one year ago.
🟢 YoY > 0% = $BTC is up from the same date last year
🔴 YoY < 0% = #BTC is trading lower than a year ago
What we see now:
— YoY change is positive, but not overheated
— Similar levels have historically occurred before major bull runs (2016, 2020)
— Peak values (+1000% and beyond) aligned with local tops (2017, 2021)
💡 Takeaway:
The market is back in positive territory compared to last year — but far from euphoric.
This could be the start of a new impulse, not the end of one.
