A significant step for the blockchain has arrived. On August 1, on its four-year anniversary, the Decimal blockchain started the migration process and September 4 - 95% of the functionality is already running on the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM). All interactions with the blockchain now go through the EVM, but functionality related to validators will remain on the COSMOS module, interacting with the EVM through smart contracts.

The development team has done a lot of hard and not easy work on the update to introduce a new blockchain to the cryptocurrency market considering the accepted initiative from CEO Decimal.

The block height of 22,372,801 was the first block when Decimal's blockchain is already running on EVM.

At this time, all necessary tests have been conducted and restrictions on the use of the blockchain network have been lifted.

The development team is now working on fixing minor bugs, adding missing sections to the console, updating the Decimal Wallet mobile app, and working with projects that collaborate with Decimal.

On September 4, the global update of mainnet was completed.

● During the gradual connection of validators to the network, there was a strain on the infrastructure, which led to errors in the validators themselves. As a result, the network is currently unable to accept external information and perform transactions. The team is currently making every effort to restore the validators' operation.

● Also, please note that Decimal Wallet mobile application has not yet been switched to the new EVM protocols. Therefore, please refrain from using it and wait for the updated version.

According to the latest news from the development team, sync-service has completely finished data synchronization on prod environment and is ready for migration.

● But at the moment the migration is postponed due to bugs found during testing related to the implementation of tokenomics 2.0. As a reminder, during the blockchain migration, initiatives will be implemented to stabilize the tokenomics of the project.

● The nature of the errors is not critical, but requires careful correction, as it affects the operation of the basic functionality of the blockchain. At the moment, the efforts of the whole team are aimed at promptly fixing the problems.

On August 1, the Sync service was launched, which started the procedure of synchronization into new smart contracts of the current state. The process is in its final stages. As you know, the blockchain update went live on August 1 and since then the Sync service has been running to migrate user balance data to the updated blockchain. As of today, more than half of the addresses from the genesis blockchain have already been migrated. A small part is left and very soon the new Decimal blockchain will be introduced!

On Sunday evening, the Decimal blockchain synchronization procedure, which was launched on August 1 and is the first phase of the migration, passed a certain milestone and moved on to NFT processing.

1. The old-style ones that work within the COSMOS standard. These are now available and are created at console.decimalchain.com;

Decimal SDK update

With Decimal's transition to EVM - SDKs and ways of interacting with the blockchain are changing. The main programming languages for which SDKs are being formed have been selected:
