This comes just weeks after Donald Trump began accepting cryptocurrency donations for his campaign through Coinbase Commerce. And after he recently held a meeting with representatives of key US mining companies. There is a clear lag of the Biden Headquarters, instead of a proactive one there is a reactive strategy.

The Biden campaign did not immediately respond to The Block's request for comment. One source of the publication, who works with politicians and leaders of the crypto industry, commented on the situation as follows:

“They are paying attention to the issues surrounding cryptocurrency and trying to find quick wins to show that they support the industry.”

When a defender (at least a declared one) of the crypto industry begins to collect donations in cryptocurrency, this is logical and understandable. But when her actual opponent starts doing this, it smells like a split personality 😬. Who's next? Elizabeth Warren?
