Binance participated in Chainalysis Nodes Brasil, an exclusive event for Brazilian authorities, which took place this Tuesday (May 7), in Brasília. The event, which is exclusive to the public sector, brought together leaders and experts in law enforcement, regulation and national security to discuss opportunities and risks of the Web3 ecosystem and propose strategies to face current challenges. 

The event aims to increase knowledge about the cryptocurrency and Web3 ecosystem, and at the same time promote debate on best practices for investigating financial illicit activities involving this class of assets. It also proposes the exchange of experiences to strengthen partnerships between the public and private sectors in preventing and combating crimes involving cryptocurrencies.

Binance participated in the "Follow de Money" panel on Chainalysis Nodes Brasil

Renato Bastos, Investigations specialist at Binance, a reference in the area of ​​cryptoactive investigations and former public servant at the Public Ministry of the State of Rio de Janeiro, participated in the panel "Follow the Money": Analysis, tracking and investigations with cryptocurrencies in financial crimes" , in which lessons were learned about financial crimes, pyramids and scams involving cryptocurrencies, and best practices on action and collaboration processes between public authorities and exchanges.

Bastos, the only representative of a cryptocurrency platform to participate in the event, was accompanied on the panel by Betina Teixeira, from the Cryptocurrency Operations Center of the Cyber ​​Operations Laboratory (Ciberlab) of the Ministry of Justice, and Antonio Boson, from the Repression Division of Federal Police Financial Crimes. The panel was moderated by Alexandre Senra, Attorney of the Republic and Coordinator of the Cryptoactives GT of the 2nd Coordination and Review Chamber of the Federal Public Ministry.
