The demand for the auction of five-year U.S. Treasury bonds was poor, and the yield on ten-year U.S. Treasury bonds rose for the first time this week. The yen fell below the key level of 155 and hit a new low since 1990 for three consecutive days. The U.S. dollar index hit a new low in nearly two weeks and then turned up.
