The rehabilitation trustee of cryptocurrency exchange Mt. Gox has sent out emails announcing the start of payments to creditors of the now-defunct platform. According to the email shared on social media, Nobuaki Kobayashi plans to begin distributing payments before the end of the year. "The Rehabilitation Trustee plans to begin paying creditors soon. The Rehabilitation Trustee is working to begin paying back creditors in cash within 2023." Still, the trustee said some creditors may have to wait until next year to receive their payments. Individual creditors will not receive exact notifications about their payment schedule in advance, but the trustee said applicants can confirm their repayment status, planned remittance amounts, and completed remittance amounts on the Mt. Gox online rehabilitation claims system.
