Recent updates from Shibariumscan explorer show that the Shibarium layer 2 blockchain created for the popular Shiba Inu meme cryptocurrency has reached two important milestones.
Both are representing a significant expansion of the #Shibarium extension. Meanwhile, the price of the second-largest dog-themed cryptocurrency SHIB is trading sideways, having so far failed to clear its sixth zero.
At the time of writing, #ShibaInu is trading at $0.00000971.
Shibarium sets new trading record and regains daily high
The aforementioned data source shows that Shibarium has finally reached a new record as its transaction count has surpassed 360 million after nearly two months of slow progress.
The total number of daily transfers now stands at 360,936,003. On January 20, the figure showed 297.2 million, so the increase includes 63 million in the last 20 days.
The number of daily transactions also showed a large increase, finally regaining the three million level.
Daily trading activity has escalated to that level in just the past few days, increasing from 1.07 million on February 16 to 2.44 million on February 18 and now reaching 3 million.
This is the highest value for this key metric since January 28, when it showed 2.93 million daily transfers. The number of wallets connected to the layer 2 solution also increased and reached 1,358,306.
The Shiba Inu team introduces a new type of NFT
Recently, the lead developer of the SHIB team, known by his alias Shytoshi Kusama, and other team members, revealed the upcoming launch of Sheboshis #NFT on the token-based standard Ethereum new ERC-404.
These NFTs crafted for the female component of the SHIB Army (hence the name “She-boshis”) can be claimed by SHIB users who already hold NFTs from the Shiboshis collection.
Shytoshi Kusama talked about it in the recent edition of Shib Magazine released on Valentine's Day.
Sheboshis will then be connected from Ethereum to Shibarium, along with the much previously launched collection of Shiboshis.
#SHIB 's main developer also mentioned that upgrades are being made to the Shiba Eternity game.
These upgrades address bugs and cheating issues that were discovered in this game. Additionally, the team is working on perfecting play-to-earn and stake-to-earn opportunities for players.
