Silver has quickly become one of web3’s most iconic AI artists, and his latest avant-garde work explores the concept of physical form in the digital age.

Bluesky opens to the public a year after launching as an invite-only app

Jack Dorsey’s decentralized social network Bluesky is now publicly accessible after a year of being invite-only, and anyone can now sign up, no code required.

Shortly after the announcement on February 6, the app gained more than 850,000 new accounts, bringing its total user base to over 4 million people.

Described as an “open source Twitter alternative,” Bluesky will disrupt the current social media ecosystem by giving users more control over their online interactions.

Built on the AT social networking protocol, the app reflects a potential shift towards user-owned data and community, and will be popular with web3 collectors, artists, and builders when it first launches in 2023.

The app’s CEO Jay Graber recently hinted at more surprises to come, specifically a new “Affiliates” feature that will allow users to take their followers to other apps if they leave.

PlayEmber and Pixelmon Collaboration

Emby media server and multiplayer open-world game Pixelmon are igniting the NFT gaming scene with a new casual mobile gaming partnership that will launch in Q2 2024.

Developed and published by Playember Studios, the collaboration promises to fuse the vibrant world of Pixelmon with Playember’s gaming expertise, and with Playember’s impressive track record of over 40 mobile games and 120 million downloads, Pixelmon hints at a launch this spring.

alignDRAW acquired by Worcester Art Museum

Massachusetts’ renowned Worcester Art Museum (WAM) recently acquired three innovative works from artificial intelligence scientist Elman Mansimov’s groundbreaking alignDRAW project for display in WAM’s spring exhibition, “New Terrains: Landscape Photography in the 21st Century.”

The selection includes three grid AI outputs created by Mansimov’s text-to-image prompt. The three grids obtained are titled:

  • “Stop Sign Flying in the Blue Sky”, alignDRAW (2015)

  • “A herd of elephants flying in the blue sky”, alignDRAW (2015)

  • “Green school bus parked in a parking lot”, alignDRAW (2015)


The acquisition marks an important moment in the acceptance and integration of NFTs and AI art by traditional art institutions.

Doodles and G-SHOCK Collaboration

The much-loved NFT project Doodles is teaming up with Casio’s colorful line of luxury sports watches, G-SHOCK.

On February 6th, Doodles gave Doodles Alien holders a token that can be redeemed for an Alien vinyl record signed by Doodles artist Burnt Toast, a G-SHOCK case, and a Doodles Alien hat. Those who own the green alien will also receive unique original concept art. The redemption process begins on February 26th.

To add to the fun, art clothing store 2G TOKYO will host a special pop-up event from February 9 to 11, where watches and other exclusive items will debut, with each item paired with a digital good.

Then, mark your calendars for February 15th, when the much-anticipated Doodles x G-SHOCK collaboration will officially launch, with the collection set to include a unique watch emblazoned with the “Touching Grass” motif and a digital collectible retailing for $169.

Doodles fans can also look forward to special airdrops and benefits, providing early access and benefits to OG holders and the VIRTUAL G-SHOCK community.

ENS and GoDaddy will link web domains and ENS names

Longtime domain name registration site GoDaddy and Ethereum Name Service (ENS) teamed up this week to revolutionize traditional web domain names by combining them with blockchain.

According to The Block, the partnership paves the way for GoDaddy’s massive 20 million user base to enter the cryptocurrency space, as GoDaddy users can now connect their “.com” names to ENS simply by using a crypto wallet.
