The Ethscriptions protocol was created in 2016, but Tom Lehman only developed a related product for the protocol on June 17 this year, called Ethscriptions (corresponding to a website). On June 18th eths inscription was deployed. On October 31, 2023, Tom Lehman renamed the Ethscriptions protocol to the Facet protocol, which allows inscriptions to be split into individual token transactions and tokens to be synthesized into inscription transactions. Facet enables the use of Ethereum at extremely low cost (around 1/10th of the cost) without sacrificing security and decentralization. This new extension paradigm effectively overcomes the shortcomings of the traditional Rollup scheme, such as the centralization of the sorter, downtime, and the possibility of operators censoring users. At the same time, Facet is loosely coupled with the underlying blockchain that provides transaction ordering. As market demand and the ecosystem continue to prosper, it can be easily deployed to all EVM-compatible (even non-EVM) blockchains. And for the Facet protocol and the inscription token $Facet, the total number is 21 million, and the current market value is only US$7 million. #BTC #ETH #铭文板块
