Last week, the White House held a large-scale conference with the participation of over 30 leaders from the crypto industry and senior officials in the Trump administration. This event drew attention by bringing together top names in the crypto world such as the CEOs of Coinbase, Ripple, Robinhood, Kraken, Crypto.com, along with influential figures like Michael Saylor (Strategy), Matt Huang (Paradigm), Sergey Nazarov (Chainlink), and the Winklevoss twins (Gemini). However, according to a senior White House official, there will be no more large-scale crypto conferences in the near future.
A New Direction: Small Conferences, Focused on Specific Issues
Mr. Bo Hines, Executive Director of the Presidential Task Force on Digital Assets, stated that instead of organizing a large event with dozens of leaders at once, the White House will shift to smaller conferences, focusing on specific areas of crypto policy.
This new model will facilitate more in-depth discussions while helping the administration gather high-quality information to make appropriate policy decisions.

Key Issues to be Discussed
Future in-depth conferences may focus on important topics currently being considered by Congress, including:
🔹 Stablecoin – One of the hottest areas right now as lawmakers seek to regulate this type of asset.
🔹 Crypto market structure – Regulations regarding exchanges and digital asset markets.
🔹 Centralized exchange (#Cex ) – Legal issues related to Coinbase, Binance US, and other platforms.
🔹 Bitcoin mining and energy consumption – Policies for the Bitcoin mining industry, which has been criticized for its electricity consumption.
🔹 Crypto investment – Regulations related to investment funds and publicly traded companies holding Bitcoin.
Hines also emphasized that the new process will help the White House respond more quickly to developments in the crypto market and implement more effective policies.

From "Crypto Council" to "Digital Asset Task Force"
Initially, right after re-election, President $TRUMP seemed to be planning to establish a permanent Crypto Council with industry leaders. However, in January 2025, the White House changed direction, instead establishing a digital asset task force, consisting of government officials rather than business leaders.
Members of this task force include:
📌 Scott Bessent – U.S. Secretary of the Treasury
📌 Howard Lutnick – Secretary of Commerce
📌 David Sacks – "Commander" on AI and Crypto in the Trump administration
📌 Bo Hines
After last week's crypto conference, Bo Hines stated that he would meet with the digital asset task force and then work with congressional leaders to propose specific policies.
What Awaits the Crypto Industry Under Trump?
The organization of a large crypto conference right at the White House shows that President Trump is taking a more open approach to this industry compared to his previous term. Nevertheless, the shift from a permanent council to smaller thematic conferences may reflect a more cautious strategy.

Although the White House has no plans to hold more large events, dialogues with the crypto industry will continue in other forms. This could open up opportunities for crypto businesses to engage more in the policy-making process. 🚀
