USDT Supply Hits US$143 Billion Amid MiCA Regulation

Tether, the USDT issuer, has reached its highest supply of US$143 billion amid regulatory turmoil from _Markets in Crypto-Assets_ (MiCA).

MiCA's regulatory changes are changing the world's growing stablecoin ecosystem. MiCA will change operations with strict criteria for stablecoin issuers and is expected to apply in Europe tomorrow (12/30).

This has an impact on Tether which will stop supporting _Euro_ Tether (EURT). This action is a form of response to MiCA regulations and declining demand for EURT.

For information, the USDC stablecoin has a supply of US$42.3 billion, then USDe is worth US$6 billion, DAI is US$4.5 billion and FDUSD reaches US$1.9 billion.
