Galaxy Digital suggests that the U.S. will not buy bitcoins
Analysts at Galaxy Digital believe that the U.S. government is unlikely to start acquiring bitcoins by 2025, despite statements from Donald Trump.
As of the end of December, U.S. authorities hold 183,850 bitcoins, as well as other assets, including Ethereum. Plans to create a national reserve of one million bitcoins are still in the discussion stage.
Senator Cynthia Lummis proposed to purchase 200,000 bitcoins annually for five years. However, the likelihood of this project being realized is currently low.
At the same time, corporations and funds may begin to actively accumulate cryptocurrency, especially in light of the legalization of mining in the U.S.
