Leading OTC platforms are seeing a significant increase in trading volumes

The head of the institutional department at Kraken, Tim Ogilvie, shared impressive results: trading volume on the cryptocurrency exchange has grown by 220% compared to last year. Other managers also noted growth, and in some cases, even a return to the records of 2021.

Trader Wintermute, Jake Ostrowski, mentioned that many clients have started actively trading cryptocurrencies only after long years of negotiations. His colleague from GSR, Embert Lin, reported that companies are exploring opportunities beyond Bitcoin and Ethereum.

Clients have become more risk-tolerant and start with Bitcoin, then move to Ethereum, Solana, and other altcoins. Among the priorities are also BNB, TRON, and Aave due to their high liquidity.

Industry experts expect approval of ETFs based on XRP and Solana in the near future. The launch of options on the BTC-ETF has opened new horizons, allowing for cross-collateralized products and significantly increasing market liquidity.
