Recently, I have observed that there is a significant amount of buying pressure below Bitcoin, with many institutions and publicly listed companies bottom fishing for Bitcoin. Currently, 31% of the total Bitcoin supply is held by governments, ETFs, and MicroStrategy, an increase of 14% from last year.
In just the past couple of days, MicroStrategy has started making large purchases again, spending $561 million to acquire 5,262 Bitcoins. Their total holdings have now reached 444,000 Bitcoins. Last week, MicroStrategy sold 1.3178 million shares, but they still have $7.08 billion in shares that can be issued and sold. Following their usual strategy, this $7 billion will eventually be used to buy Bitcoin.
Additionally, the publicly listed company Matador Technologies Inc has also approved the purchase of $4.5 million worth of Bitcoin as a strategic reserve asset. Currently, the total number of Bitcoin spot ETFs has also exceeded 1.3 million, accounting for 6% of the total Bitcoin supply. It is evident that a structure formed by governments, ETFs, publicly listed companies, and large holders has already taken shape.
Institutional investors are typically long-term holders and do not trade frequently. This accumulation behavior reduces the circulating supply in the market, providing support for Bitcoin's long-term price. This trend towards institutionalization indicates that Bitcoin is transitioning from an "individual investor-dominated asset" to a "mainstream investment asset." #币安Alpha公布第6批项目 #比特币战略储备 #本周微策略是否继续增持BTC?
