On December 24, an old miner named lsp shared his recent experience of being scammed on platform X. The original text is as follows:
A leaky roof often meets a rainy night.
I woke up in the morning to find my Twitter account had been hacked. After recovering my Twitter, I discovered my wallet had been stolen, resulting in a loss of 1 million USD. The money is probably irretrievable.
The logic of the incident is that last night a hacker disguised themselves as a Twitter account that looked legitimate at first glance. Through my Twitter interactions, they posed as a friend of XX. The Twitter account itself was the CEO of the project. Since I had seen it before and mentioned a friend, I let my guard down. Then the other party suggested chatting about the project's development and sent me a Zoom link. My computer had Zoom installed, but I had issues with it before and needed to reinstall it. So when the webpage prompted me to reinstall, I did. I woke up to find I had been hacked.
I am an old miner in DEFI, and I really shouldn't be foolish enough to click on links. Normally, I don't even dare to click on airdrops. Recently, I've been attending a lot of meetings and let my guard down. DEFI has infinite opportunities, but also infinite risks. Please always be vigilant about security issues. Safety is not just related to the protocol code of the project itself but is closely related to one's own operations.
I hope my fellow crypto enthusiasts stay vigilant to avoid being scammed again!
