Time is a cycle, a variable rather than a constant. Many small matters, very subtle things, are merely reflections of time on a small-scale timeline.

In our limited time and life, we cannot see and understand everything happening on the large-scale timeline, nor how everything on the small-scale timeline affects what happens on the large-scale timeline.

Therefore, we cannot be foreseeing; at most, we can only have hindsight. We often feel anxious about gains and losses, too concerned about the past and overly worried about the future.

In reality, the moon will only rise after the sun sets, and when the moon disappears, the sun will rise again. The alternation of day and night brings tomorrow, and it is yet another day. With the changing seasons, winter and summer alternate, and another year passes.

In this way, we see and understand what happens on the daily and yearly timelines. Both the daily and yearly timelines experience the alternation of yin and yang. The difference is that one timeline is shorter and the other longer. Stretching the events that happen in a short time transforms it into a yearly timeline, while compressing the yearly timeline turns it into a daily timeline, and so on.

In this way, we can simultaneously see our past, present, and future. What we do well should continue to be promoted, what needs adjustment should change gradually, grow slowly, and become excellent over time.
