The arrest of Nam Pips was only a matter of time, the result of a seed he had sown a few years ago. People who don’t know will be shocked, but those in the industry are not surprised at all. In fact, many in the industry might be quite pleased because Nam Pips has indeed made enemies in many places.
This article does not discuss the matter of Nam Pips but talks about preventing financial fraud in our Vietnam.
Honestly, one of the hardest things in our Vietnamese Trader community is advising someone not to get involved in financial fraud. Why? Because the offers presented always seem very enticing. Promises of steady income. 1% daily returns. Guaranteed profits. Capital insurance. Expert advice. 5 times a week. Attractive people with luxury cars and expensive watches.
YouTubers, TikTokers, Facebookers, and Admins make the market, where 95% of people lose, seem much easier, like you can just reach into your pocket and pull out a piece of cheese to chew on. People forget the saying, "free cheese is found in a mouse trap." And those Admins or leaders are the ones setting the traps, or they are simply the pawns of the trap setters.
When friends and family eagerly dive into that cheese trap, it’s really hard to stop them. They only listen to those who appear wealthy (or really are). They say to you, "What have you achieved like my leaders that you’re trying to stop me?" or "Shut up, you poor admin driving a beaten-up car and wearing a Casio watch."
Then they unfriend and block me. They even screenshot parts of my chat advising them and post sarcastic comments on social media, saying, "The mindset of these poor people who love philosophy is ridiculous." They enjoy lively events, holding hands with those beside them shouting, "I deserve it, hahohahohaho," then throw in millions or billions of money, imagining that 20-year-old experts with 40 years of experience on stage will help them get rich quickly.
There’s no way to get rich from that.
There’s a way to get rich with debts.
So now, unless it’s someone in my family, I might still advise a little, but for social acquaintances, I just send them news links to read and do a brief analysis. Because they need to have some knowledge and social background to really understand.
To be honest, if they are too naive, it’s hard to help.
Buddha taught, "Anyone who is still in the dark and turns to face the darkness will not be saved, let alone an admin like you."
So just keep the story of Nam Pips, and when someone wants to jump into a similar scheme later, send it to them to see, because trying to advise them might just lead to insults against you and your family.
"Everything in the shady world must be paid for in cash" - the folks in Quơn have said that. Just let them lose money to open their eyes, no need for vitamin A.
